Montana Firefighters License Plate

 New License Plate Agreement.

The Montana State Fire Chiefs Association came to an agreement during their mid-winter meeting in Bozeman in February to share in the profit of the MSFCA License plate.  This agreement would allow for the MSFCA to keep a base amount and then any sales above that amount would go to the Montana State Volunteers Fire Fighter Association.  When the plate was first conceptualized there were promises made to share the profit with the MSVFFA but action was never taken.  The current board felt this agreement would help assist the MSVFFA and help to bring Montana State Fire Services together.  The share back starts right away.  Both associations are happy about this agreement and look forward to working together!

License Plate Application

Dear Montana Fire Service Personnel:

The MSFCA would like all Montana Fire Personnel to support the Montana Firefighters license plate. This plate was designed with every firefighter in Montana in mind. We hope that you will show your pride in the Montana Fire Service by purchasing yours today.

  • Wildland
  • Explorer Groups
  • Auxiliaries
  • Fire Boards
  • Trustees (Districts and FSA’s)
  • Retired Firefighters  

If you meet the eligibility requirements, download the application above (or pick one up at your local DMV office). Once completed (you must obtain your Fire Chiefs or supervisor's signature), submit the application along with $20.00 (plus one-time $10  processing fee) and begin showing your pride for the Montana Fire Service. Application must be renewed each year ($20 renewal fee).

Funds generated from the sale of the Firefighter License plates are used to progress the fire service leadership in the great State of Montana.
